Job Title : Instrument Supervisor

JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE

Supervise the installation, service, calibration, repair, and testing of all pneumatic and electronic control instrumentation in the Process, Utilities and offsite area of the LNG Plant on Das Island.

Scope of Duties:

•    Direct and supervises 7-10 subordinates of Control Specialists, Senior Instrument Technicians, and fitter carrying out instrumentation maintenance in the Process, Utilities, and Offsite areas of LNG Plant.  This includes the installation, service, calibration, repair and testing of pneumatic and electronic instrumentation.  Ensures that such work is performed in accordance with the Company’s standards, codes and practices.

•    Ensures the provision of materials and equipment required to undertake maintenance work.  Liaises with the Central Workshop for assistance and prepares workshop orders.

•    Directs and participate in the implementation of plant instrument modification work in accordance with established procedures.

•    Liaises with relevant personnel in the Operation and Safety Dept.  to obtain permits to work and with other sections regarding the availability of mobile plant and labor.

•    Supervises and participates in carrying out tests on special equipment such as vibration monitoring systems, machine anti surge, PLCs and DCS (TDC 3000) systems.

•    Provides opportunities for training and development of UAE employees under his direction and assess their progress, this includes on-the-job training and paper work delegation.

•    Prepares various reports on normal, breakdown and critical maintenance work.  Carries out other related duties, such as compiling time sheets, store stock requisitions, accident reports, monitor disciplinary actions and special technical reports.

•    Supervises the safe and efficient maintenance of plant equipment and personnel in accordance with the agreed and safe procedures.

•    Uses SAP, identifies shortcomings in store stock holdings, completes MAPs and PRs to resolve the problem area.

•    Provide daily contacts mainly at supervisor and engineer level with personnel of other disciplines with Maintenance, Operations, Central Workshops, and Safety Dept.  for general co-ordination purposes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•    Age 32-42 years.

•    Completion of Technical Secondary Education (12 Years) or equivalent.

•    8 Years experience in the Instrumentation Maintenance of pneumatic and electronic control equipments in the oil refinery or petrochemical industry, including at least 3 years supervisory experience in the Process, Utilities or loading facilities areas.

•    Good knowledge of spoken and written English, with capability of writing technical reports.

REMUNERATION PACKAGE:

•    Leave cycle 35 working days on Das Island, followed by 28 days of leave to point of origin.

Job Title : Material Planning Engineer

JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE

Plays an effective role in the ZR-BU materials related matters by coordinating with the Job Officers / Planning Engineers and liaising with Commercial Unit (CM) to ensure availability of materials in time and of specified technical as well as quality deliverables.

•    Liaises with CM to update MAXIMO data to be consistent with the Monthly Status Report.

•    Follows up with Purchasers in the Purchase Order (PO) – Administration  regarding the supplier expediting.

•    Liaise with CMM to ensure that SCAD’s are raised for the new assets as per SPIR’s

•    Liaise with CMM to link the spare parts to new assets in MAXIMO.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•    B. Sc. Degree in any engineering discipline.

•    8 years experience in projects, operations, maintenance or materials / inventory management in an oil & gas company or associated industry.

•    Specific knowledge of any CMMS System, e.g. MAXIMO and its applications for inventory and purchase.

•    Specific knowledge of Materials Specifications and Standards.

JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE

•    Carries out the design of allocated modification related to LNG production facilities and associated offsites. Ensures the design is to recognized industrial standards and codes.

•    Prepares the Statement of Requirement for contract documents and carries out technical evaluation of contracted out modifications including technical clarification to bidders through the Contracts Department.

•    Carries out the direct ordering and reservation from stock of all materials for the modifications, ensures materials comply with company standards and are correct specification for the duty. Performs technical evaluation of material bids including technical clarification to bidders through Procurement Department.

•    Identifies and applies for the availability of funds for modifications, materials and ordering and contract placement in accordance with relevant ADGAS procedures.

•    Convenes and minutes the Definition of Requirements meeting and ensures that all disciplines are represented.

•    Controls the engineering of modifications and liaises regularly with Production and HSE&I Departments to ensure that the engineering design is acceptable to such user departments.

•    Liaises regularly with other departments in ADGAS to cover the inter-disciplinary requirements for the modifications. Acts as the nucleus to ensure a complete integral package is assembled before distribution.

•    Responsible for collating discussing and resolving any comments or queries arising from the approval issue of the modification package.

•    Prepares the HAZOP P&ID and introduces the proposal to HAZOP committee for Hazard and Operability Study. Takes an active part in HAZOP proceedings as mechanical specialist. Acts as secretary to the HAZOP meetings

•    Prepares HAZOP findings and Safety Review Committee modification overview for Plant Management appraisal. Introduces the proposal and describes the findings of HAZOP Team to Plant Management at HSE Review Meetings.

•    Provides design and technical guidance to Supervisors during the development phase of the modification.

•    Defines the scope of each Divisions involvement during procurement and construction and pre-commissioning phases of the modification.

•    Supervises and directs engineering, construction and pre-commissioning contract staff during implementation of the modification.

•    Carries out pre-commissioning checks on the completed work to ensure the design is to original proposals. Continue to monitor modification from conception through to commissioning.

•    Reviews, comments or design Minor Changes initiated by Operations Department.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•    B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

•    10 years experience in Mechanical Engineering field, including minimum 8 years in engineering firm or engineering department in running plant with minimum 2 years in supervisory position, in the gas processing, oil refining or petrochemical industry with a good machinery background.

Mechanic engineer in this team will e a part of a multi-cultural, self-motivated professional in EPT-Das Island Unit (DIAU) in the Company.

Provides engineering / technical support to operational, maintenance, HSE and project execution activities in the field of mechanical engineering for all mechanical equipments such as piping, vessels, tanks, static equipments, pipelines etc. associated with the Company’s Oil & Gas production / separation, storex, utilities, loading activities on Das Island.

a.    Performs as mechanical lead engineer or project engineer functions as established by management.

b.    Carries out detailed engineering for plant modification request including preparation of engineering packages for implementation.

c.    Carries out engineering studies, proposes various options and selects optimum solutions for implementation.

d.    Carries out vendor research for new technologies.

e.    Liaises with Engineering Division for the preparation of specifications for new installations, comments on engineering packages for new projects, advises supervisors on issues relating to mechanical equipment in the capital budget including the requirements of the Asset. Carries out checking on new plants and installations on behalf of the Company and liaises with construction / operation staff to minimize impact on the existing plant.

f.    Maintains continuous contacts with other Departments and Division including Production, maintenance, operations, Engineering, integrity, HSE in relation to the operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment.

g.    He shall ensure the adherence of all personnel in the section to the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental System (HSEMS).

h.    He could carry out his tasks in accordance with the prevailing operating and maintenance procedures. He shall comply with Company and Best Industry Practices.

i.    He shall ensure adherence to UAE / Local prevailing laws and regulations relating to his work.

j.    He shall participate, when required in multi-discipline teams to carry out Risk Assessments into activities requiring additional Safety Precautions.

k.    Attends HAZOPS/QRA etc. and if requires conducts root cause analysis meetings.

l.    Prepares scope in providing cost estimates for the revenue budget for the Asset and provides justifications for variations during execution.

m.    Assists in the training and development of UAE National Graduates, juniors and students.

n.    Performs other related duties such as raising BR / AFE / CRs and Service Orders, preparation of routine (daily) and special reports, ensures proper update and maintenance of technical records, assisting other mechanical personnel during emergencies, etc.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•    Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from professional institute or college.

•    Minimum Ten (10) years experience in Mechanical Engineering job with a major Oil & Gas Company / Engineering consultancy dealing with mechanical engineering equipments such as piping, vessels, tanks static equipment, pipelines etc. of which 3 years of which in a Supervisory capacity.

•    Age 30 – 45 years old.

•    Experience in detailed design, study, preparing front-end design packages, tender documents preparations for minor and major plant modifications within the Oil & Gas industry.

•    Skill in related international codes and standards in Oil & Gas industries.

•    Participate / advice in safety and risk review / studies.

•    Carry out integrity review / studies of plant, piping, large capacity storage tanks, pressure vessels and static equipment.

JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE

To supervise, coordinate and ensure the Planning, Scheduling and Reporting for the engineering resource requests by other Divisions in the company and TS-Division’s in-house projects with optimized internal resources, co-ordination of engineering & projects budgets in order to meet company objectives of plants integrity, availability and reliability at an optimum cost.

BACKGROUND

The Principal Planning Engineer reports to the Planning Support Department Head, together with the other Senior Business Support Engineer (TSP/3) and Senior Budget Coordinator (TSP/2).

Company is one of the largest and most complex Gas Processing and distribution companies in the world with application of modern “State Of The Art” technology, which requires high quality, world-class engineering & technical support in order to maintain ahead of the competition. Company undergoes major expansions from time to time to increase its gas processing capacity, implements large number of plant modifications and major equipment replacement projects.

Due to continuous expansion of Company Plants and implementation of major projects, the major complexity & challenge for this section are to assign the resources and services in close coordination with TS discipline departments to maintain skillfully optimum resources and provide services to sites & projects on time.

Other major challenge is to foresee the engineering resource requirements and arrange the short term external highly skilled engineering resources in time, so that projects schedules do not jeopardize in the environment of worldwide shortage of skilled man powers.

 As part of overall responsibilities, the jobholder is required to liaise with department managers of engineering services, sites, projects, finance personnel and external consulting service provider companies.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

•    To manage the Section in executing the long term and yearly operating plans to provide the required  contribution to the achievement to the Division’s and company’s objectives.

•    To communicate Company’s and the Section objectives and business context to ensure alignment and common understanding of the objectives (in particular the HSE objectives).

•    To delegate and supervise the implementation of performance objectives of the Section based on single point accountabilities as well as to establish monitoring mechanisms in order to ensure that these objectives are delivered.

•    To manage the budget, tools and human resources of the Section to achieve the objectives in an effective and cost-effective manner.

•    To identify gaps in staff competencies and to pursue opportunities to develop them by coordinating with the departments of the Organization Capabilities Division to establish a competent force driving for improvement with special attention to the UAE Nationals and to support Company in the achieving of the Emiratization targets.

•    To supervise the section of mid-term resource plans for the Division and to contribute to other Technical Group’s Divisions mid-term resource plans to facilitate the sourcing and ensure the timely availability of resources to meet the 5 year business plan’s objectives.

•    To supervise the development of technical resource allocation plans for the Technical Group as well as budget plans for the Division, in close coordination with Department Heads, to ensure availability and efficient utilization of resources, alignment of plans and priorities and effectively meet projects and tasks completion deadlines.

•    To coordinate closely with the external consultants / contractors for deployment of discipline engineers as and when required with a minimum notice period.

•    To supervise and guide the planning engineers work and ensure that quality and standards are maintained, abiding by Company requirement and ensure cost-effective solutions and application of value added engineering throughout the assigned projects and proposed improvement as required.

•    To facilitate the TS Division Manager & Departments heads with respective discipline Engineers’ workload analysis reports for effective resource management.

•    To manage the workload in TS Division with the available discipline engineers to meet the requirement to complete the increased number of Request for Technical Supports (RTS) and in-house studies within the specified deadlines.

•    To perform the role of an effective communication channel between Site Teams and TS Departments at Head Quarters for technical services requirements.

Job Title : Engineering & Maintenance Team Leader

JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE

This position will provide Engineering leadership during detailed engineering of the various project packages. •    Ensure HSE requirements are consistently met or exceeded across all EPC packages.

•    Involved in Bid evaluations and Technical Clarifications for EPC contractors

•    Track and monitor value added by Engineering input to the design and forwarding to the OA Coordination Manager

JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE

This position will provide specialized mechanical maintenance support to the Operations Team Leader and the Shah Operations team during the project EPC and Startup Phases to ensure operational readiness. The successful candidate will contribute to mechanical and maintenance during the engineering and construction phases of the project. Upon completion of the project, this position may assume responsibility for the mechanical maintenance of the Shah Sour Gas Plant and Gathering System.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

•    Reports to the Operations Team Leader with interactions with the Electrical Engineers in the Central Engineering organization.

•    Meet regularly and maintain good working relationships with the Electrical Engineers in the EPC Contractor organization

•    Supports and works the Operability Assurance plan and program to achieve readiness for operations and proper project input.

•    Ensure HSE requirements met or exceeded

•    Deals Primarily with the following systems:

o    Steam Turbine Power Generation & auxiliaries

o    Diesel Emergency Generators

o    Substation Control and Monitoring System (SCMS)

o    Load Management and Load Shedding (LMLS)

o    Integrated Protection and Control System (IPCS)

•    Operability Assurance Activities during Engineering and Construction

o    Contributes to the development of the various electrical systems and processes required for start-up and operations

o    Works on follow-up actions from Electrical portion of the maintenance quality system

o    Consults with Operations Team Leader and Sr. Electrical Engineers to maintain EPC package Electrical system development to the same standard as Electrical systems across all other EPC packages

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•    Bachelor of Science in Engineering, equivalent degree, or electrical operations and maintenance experience.

•    Experience in planning for electrical maintenance in projects, schedule development or other related aspects of projects and/or maintenance.

•    Experience in managing electrical maintenance and operations for onshore remote/desert sour processing plants.

•    Some supervisory experience is beneficial.

•    Proven and strong interpersonal, influence and negotiation skills.

•    Willingness to travel frequently during the project phase (+/- 25% - international & domestic).

•    Strong oral and written communication skills.

•    Ability to work with and influence at different levels of the organization.
